This course is a hands-on/application-focused course that prepares installers to properly pull, terminate, splice, and test fiber cabling as part of an information and communications technology (ICT) system. The course includes topics on fiber transmission principles and general safety practices associated with working with fiber cabling. A significant amount of course time is spent on BICSI best practices for installing, terminating, splicing, and testing fiber cable as outlined in the 8th edition of the Information Technology Systems Installation Methods Manual (ITSIMM).
